Introducing Roland Mesnier

Roland Mesnier was first hired by First Lady Rosalyn Carter in 1979, and served as White House Pastry Chef under Presidents Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton and George W. Bush.

Chef Mesneir has been responsible for creating thousands of elegant, delicious confections and dazzling desserts for hundreds of state dinners and First Family occasions.

He developed the first professional pastry program in the Washington, D.C. area, at L'Academie de Cuisine, in Bethesda, Maryland. Chef Mesnier is also the honorary president of the World Cup of Pastry, and every year L'Academie de Cuisine awards a scholarship in his name.
