We love our hometown. And we know what you’re thinking - everyone loves their hometown. But we here at Collin Street really, really love our town. Why you may ask? Because Corsicana, our home since 1896, is the absolute best. Thankfully, our town feels the same way about our bakery.
Every year, our town’s paper, The Corsicana Daily Sun, hosts a reader’s choice awards called “Best of the Best.” It’s a beloved local tradition and a hotly contested race here in Navarro County as businesses vie for nominations. With categories ranging from “Best Cup of Coffee” to “Best Hair Salon,” these awards allow residents the opportunity to acknowledge local businesses which provide their community with the highest quality products and services.
This past year, Corsicana residents awarded Collin Street Bakery three Best of the Best awards: “Best Bakery,” “Best Desserts,” and “Best Pie.”
While Collin Street has won “Best Bakery” and “Best Dessert” in past years, this was the first year we had ever been awarded “Best Pie.” In our totally biased opinion, we think it’s well-deserved. Just ask anyone who has ever tasted our pies - we’re pretty sure they’ll back us up. Or better yet, taste them for yourself! We’ll send them right to your door.
