See How It's Made

STEP 1

Preheat your oven to 350-degrees.

STEP 2

Crumble one Mini DeLuxe® Fruitcake into quarter-size chunks and place them on a baking sheet.

STEP 3

Cut eight slices of pecan bread into 1” cubes and place on the same baking sheet with the fruitcake. Evenly distribute your crumbled fruitcake and cubed bread so there is no overlapping.

STEP 4

Place the crumbled fruitcake and cubed bread mixture in the oven and bake for 8 minutes, or until toasted and lightly golden brown.

STEP 5

While your bread is toasting, medium dice the celery and onion.

STEP 6

Once toasted, remove your bread mixture from the oven and transfer it into a large mixing bowl.

STEP 7

In a separate bowl, combine the kosher salt, sage, and creole seasoning. Set to the side.

STEP 8

In a large pan, melt 2-tbsp of butter over medium heat. Once the butter is melted, add the diced veggies and sauté until the celery has released all its moisture and the onions have become soft and translucent.

STEP 9

Transfer the sautéed veggies to the bowl containing the toasted bread mixture. Mix to combine.

STEP 10

Sprinkle the dry seasoning mixture over the toasted bread and veggie mixture. Mix thoroughly so combine.

STEP 11

Pour 1-cup of chicken broth over the bread and veggie mixture. Once again, mix thoroughly to combine.

STEP 12

Transfer your seasoned bread and veggie mixture to a medium-sized baking dish.

Step 13

Place the baking dish back in your 350-degree oven. Bake for 20 minutes or until deeply golden brown.

Step 14

Remove fruitcake stuffing from the oven. Let cool slightly before adding it to a serving dish or tray.

Serve & Enjoy!
