As the only nut to claim North American heritage, it's no wonder pecans had a whole month unto themselves. An excellent source of copper, iron, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, zinc, and vitamin E, pecans are a veritable super nut. Since they’re the key ingredients in most of our desserts, it's fairly safe to say, we're nuts for pecans!
