Collin Street Bakery Is Go Texan Certified
Some news out of the Lone Star State: Collin Street Bakery has officially earned a Go Texan Certification! The certification is a “stamp of approval” for all premier businesses, restaurants, and communities throughout Texas.
The Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) operates Go Texan in an effort to encourage residents to make their permanent home in Texas.
Collin Street is now active in the Go Texan website database for any consumer looking to shop from a certified Texas business dedicated to making a difference in its community. On their website, you can find other Texas-based resources such as local wineries, farmers’ markets, events, and retirement communities. In fact, Go Texan is a long-time supporter of the State Fair of Texas.
Collin Street Bakery has served our local communities since 1896. We know, even before Go Texan Certification, that thousands of residents saw Collin Street as a certified standard of Texas excellence. (Tex-cellence, perhaps?). But this honor from the TDA solidifies our impact as a fact. We’re grateful and wear the Go Texan seal with pride.
If you have any questions about Go Texan Certification and why it matters to shop and eat local, please reach out to us! In essence, working with local businesses is a cyclical process – the more you put into your own state, the more it’ll give back to you.
The Collin Street brand serves as a staple for what makes Texas proud: hard work, dedication, and loyalty to the communities around us. And when you slice into any of our baked goods, you’ll know why we’ve been around since the 19th century.
