Some GREAT news out of the Lone Star State: Collin Street Bakery has officially earned a GO TEXAN Certification! This is a huge honor only bestowed upon accredited, Texas-based businesses. What Does It Mean To Be GO TEXAN® Certified?
The GO TEXAN organization is a branch of the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA). Headquartered in Austin, Texas, the TDA was established in 1907 to “promote production agriculture, consumer protection, economic development, and healthy living.” The GO TEXAN branch of the TDA was started in the early 2000s with a somewhat similar mission in mind yet, with the hyper-tailored job of identifying, supporting, and promoting Texas-based businesses. This branch of the TDA works diligently not only to connect these local businesses with local customers but also with customers around the world! The certification is a unique “stamp of approval” for all premier businesses, restaurants, and communities throughout Texas.
With Collin Street Bakery having served our local Texas community since 1896, we felt it only appropriate to pursue this esteemed distinction. That's why we are so excited to be recognized in the GO TEXAN database and for all our products to now proudly display the GO TEXAN seal.
